The Chrysler PT Cruiser has the stylish flair of the 21st century with a mix of Woody-wagon surfer-days of the 50s and 60s.  But the engine is anything but old.  The 2.4 liter turbocharged engine  creates 220 horsepower at 5100 rpm.  The standard model produces 150 hp and on the Cruiser Limited or the Covertible the 180 HP model is available.  Either way, you're sure to have a blast in these built for fun cars.  In addition to a great engine, manual or automatic transmission, you get great suspension and traction control systems. 

The PT Cruiser's MacPherson strut front suspension features a high roll center for quick steering which helps reduce body torque and lean.  A unique mixture of a twist-beam axle guided by trailing arms and a Watt's linkage keeps the suspension movement in line with the frame which will guide you in stopping hops on outside corners.  So you can get that nice solid slide instead of skipping through the turn you become part of it.  A side benefit of the Watt's linkage system is it eliminates bulky rear wheel wells which enlarges the cargo area inside behind the rear seats.

The traction control is in operation automatically under 35 mph, but you can switch it off if you really just want to burn some rubber.  This is always a good idea and recommended by the Tire and Gas Association of Money.  But, if it's a bit slick outside you'll be happy you have it and watch the Cruiser turn into the Creeper.  Or should it be the Crawler? ..... It'll be the Creepy Crawler.  Watch out now!

With a choice of 8 solid body colors or 4 different 2-tone packages available for the coupe, you can color your heart's desire.  17-inch wheels available in chrome or painted aluminum, but don't get the chrome.  It just doesn't work here.   About that convertible top.  It has a three-layer cloth top which included a glass rear window with electric defroster.  And no matter if the top is up or down your smart glass will automatically raise and lower to give you a quiter ride and tighter seal.

This is also the car for the individualist.  There are 4 different customizaton packages of Woodgrain, Flame, Chrome, or Mopar Body Kit and we've already covered the chrome bit.  The customization doesn't stop on the outside either.
