Signature, Touring, Limited and LX models are available under the Town & Country badge.  This being the only van in the Chrysler line up lets you know just how much confidence they have in it.    Vans are all about room and safety.  And the Town and Country is definitely safe by having standard next-generation multistage driver and front passenger air bags.  These deploy the air bags on the passenger side by calculating passenger weight and delivering the appropriate force.  Inflatable knee blockers on the driver side gives leg protection from the steering column.  Side curtain air bags for all three rows of seats blocks off the glass and entrance areas so if you're in a collision you'll be padded if you're in a lake you might need a knife.

Wheel mounted wireless transmitters send a signal to your instrument panel if tire pressure in one or more tires falls above or below preset levels.  Power ABS antilock brakes and a remote keyless entry system are nice features too.  The key fob locks and unlocks doors, liftgate, sliding door and panic alarm if needed or you just want to upset your neighbors.

The Town and Country isn't a powerhouse of engine but it wasn't supposed to be.  Under the hood you'll find an ample 180 HP V6 engine.  There is an available 205HP engine on Touring and Limited models which makes any soccer mom a leadfoot.  Independent front suspension gives great control and a load leveling rear end suspension helps maintain consistent height and travel.  As vans sit higher they do require different suspension packages and it's great to see Chrysler come through in this category as well.  And what would a safe van be without a low speed traction system?  It's got it in there.

You like interior goodies and gear?  You've come to the right place.  Let's take a look at the new Stow 'n Go® seats or Easy-Out® rolling seats will move to create over 165 cubic feet of cargo space.  There are underfloor storage bins, a rear temperature control, overhead rail system with storage bins, and an optional DVD screen.  The black on white guages are sophisticated yet easy to read day or night and electroluminescent gauges available on the Touring model, glow when turned on.  Bluetooth technology is also available for hands-free cell phone operation so you can get away with talking on the phone if it's not allowed in your area which means you can be twice as distracted once the DVD and kids get going.

Speaking of DVD players you get a rear seat video system with a seven inch flip down screen on long wheelbase models.  It also has a 6 disc CD/DVD changer so you can preload hit the road and all the kids favorites will be instantly ready.  A DVD based GPS navigation system is standard on Limited and optional on Touring models.  You need to get that if you don't want to be lost and tired when you finally get to where you're going.  But, that doesn't even make sense because once you're there you aren't really lost.  So, nevermind.  Skip it.
